1. How many years have you worked/volunteered with TRACKS?
I've been working with TRACKS for just under a year.
2. What is your favourite part about working at TRACKS?
My favourite part about working at TRACKS is seeing staff grow and learn from one another!
3. What workshop is your favourite to run and why.
I love to run the Coding Professional Development workshop for educators. It's amazing to hear their ideas and to challenge them to think differently about coding.
4. What is a fun nature fact or joke you have, share what it is!
I've got too many to choose from! If I had to pick one, I think it's so cool how the feathers on an owl's face are arranged to push sound waves into their ears - so they can hear their prey better!
5. What is your favourite activity to do outside of work?
I love to bike! Peterborough has such incredible bike routes and it's a beautiful way to see the Kawarthas.
6. What is the most important thing you learned while working at TRACKS?
It's hard to pick just one thing for this question too! Something that has been at the forefront of my mind recently is the importance of balance. Balance in nature, your life, and in the lives of others.
7. What is your favourite place on earth to go to (in nature)?
Grundy Lake Provincial Park! My family camps there every summer and it feels like a home away from home!
8. What inspired you to work here or get into outdoor/INSTEM education?
I've always loved working with youth and learning from the land. TRACKS is the perfect opportunity to do both!!
