1. How many years have you worked/volunteered with TRACKS?

4 Years professionally 6+ totally in my life as a participant and professionally.

2. What is your favourite part about working at TRACKS?

This is a hard one but I'd say teaching youth and watching them grow into amazing humans.

3. What workshop is your favourite to run and why.

I love to be organized but have a good balance of fun and education. It's important to be able to enjoy yourself to want to continue your learning, especially with youth.

4. What is a fun nature fact or joke you have, share what it is!

Did you know that the deadliest cat alive is also one of the smallest? The black footed cat is one of the cutest but most deadly cats in the world. It has a 60% successful hunting rate. I love cats and the black footed cat is one of the coolest and cutest in my opinion.

5. What is your favourite activity to do outside of work?

I love to bike! Everyone knows I'm always biking around enjoying the outdoors.

6. What is the most important thing you learned while working at TRACKS?

I learned how much impact even 1 day or even 1 hour can have on a youth. Sometimes just one workshop can spark something that leaves them inspired. It's a wonderful and important thing to see and something I value doing this work.

7. What is your favourite place on earth to go to (in nature)?

Well I love ponds and lakes. Whenever I'm near water or even swimming I feel at peace.

8. What inspired you to work here or get into outdoor/INSTEM education?

I've worked in the community and doing this kind of work all my life. I wanted to give youth opportunities to grow and to learn new things, even more than I had or my family even. Through TRACKS I saw how valuable my experience and knowledges could be to all staff, schools, and of course all youth in our community. I love being able to inspire youth to build their bundles and create connections to their spaces. It was almost natural that I ended up at TRACKS taking on this important work.
