Blog Post: Meet Ava, Oshkwazin Summer Youth Ambassador

Aanii! My name is Ava and I am from the First Nation of Mississauga of Scugog Island!

I am one of the six Oshkwazin Summer Youth Ambassadors. I enjoy learning the language of our peoples, and have passions of expanding my knowledge of my Indigenous culture. 

♥️ In the future, I hope to become an Indigenous child and youth worker, to help Indigenous communities, children and youth out of difficult circumstances, as well as being able to share knowledge with them about Indigenous culture, as well as sharing the language with them.
