Liam
Trailblazer

Aaniin/Boozhoo! Liam Clearwater ndizhinikaaz (My name is Liam Clearwater), and my pronouns are he/him. I am of Mi’kmaq-Scot descent from the Beaver clan, or Amik dodem in Aanishnaabemowin. I am from Peterborough but now live in Omemee. I am excited for my first year of being a TRACKS Oshkwazin Trailblazer. I am looking forward to spending my summer with the TRACKS team. I want to work with TRACKS as I am interested in learning more about our culture and being able to teach others about our culture.

I feel that culture is an important part of our identity. I have a passion for spending time and having a connection with the outdoors, which is a big part of the TRACKS program! I’m the oldest of three siblings, so I have to spend a good chunk of time making sure things don’t get too rowdy. I have an interest in teaching others about culture and am a pretty good shaker-maker. And I believe having youth leaders is important to preserving this culture and a great skill for the future!
