Summer Gauthier
Summer Camp Program Instructor

Aaniin! ezhi ayaayan, Paabaaway Komigok indigoo, Naotkamegwanning ndoonjii, Bizhiw ndoodem. Hi, my name is Summer Gauthier or Niibin. I am an Anishinaabe from Whitefish Bay First Nation. I reside in Nogojiwanong (Peterborough) for Indigenous Studies at Trent University. I am excited to join TRACKS as a Summer Camp Instructor to share my knowledge of Indigenous culture and contribute to environmental sciences since my knowledge stems from my own experiences in Summer Camp for Indigenous Youth.
I love learning more about my culture from different places since I only know northern culture, I am happy to learn Indigenous knowledge from the south. FYI, I speak a distinct dialect of Ojibwe (Northwestern), and I love painting, ceramics, porcupine quill art and origami.
