Blog Post: Meet Eli, Oshkwazin Summer Youth Ambassador

My name is Elijah Brake, and I am Mi’kmaw from the Bay of Islands Newfoundland. My hobbies are somewhat hunting, fishing, hiking/ spending time in the woods, basketball, rugby, and hockey. 

Recently I bought a cottage and spend most of my outdoor time now climbing on fallen rocks and going swimming. I also have a cabin in the woods and spend a lot of time there in the winter and occasionally summer. There I will ride my quad, side by side, go on walks, and in the winter I will ride the snowmobile. 

 I also have a cottage in Newfoundland that I don’t go to very often, maybe once every other year. But we go fishing out on the ocean for hours and also go berry picking in the fields behind it.
